Mission Statement
We establish the Tequesquite Family Council as a vehicle for communication, education and mutual support for our family. Faith in God is the source of our family strength. The foundation of our family is structured upon love, mutual-support, resilience, and ethical principles. This council is created to insure our family remains united and our businesses strong.
Code of Conduct
In recognition of the challenges of leading a family in business across generations and our desire to enrich and pass on the legacy of our ancestors, we promise:
- To recognize the unique nature of our relationships with one another and place a priority on clear and skillful communication.
- To deal with one another with love, honesty, trust, integrity, respect and maturity.
- To share power and authority responsibly.
- To listen to each other, respect differing opinions, show humility, and be open minded.
- To develop each generation as stewards of shared assets.
- To provide opportunities for each individual to pursue excellence in their personal and professional lives.
- To welcome constructive disagreement among us but support one another once decisions have been made.
- To disagree skillfully with civility and without hostility or anger.
- To develop the skills necessary to diffuse hostile misunderstandings or disagreements.
- To stay positively connected by meeting regularly as a family, as owners and as managers.
- To respect confidentiality and privacy.
